I know everyone and their mother has probably reposted this link already but, please please please read this. It’s really the most accurate and straightforward description of depression I’ve ever read
Especially the part with the dead fish
A lot of people who don’t really understand depression reduce it to simply just “being sad a lot”, when it’s actually much more than that. If I could try and boil it a single phrase it’d be more like “long periods of intense apathy punctuated by feelings of helplessness”. It’s not about just feeling sad, it’s more or less about not… really feeling anything. All while still trying to deal with going about day-to-day life and holding tight to whatever sort of distractions you can manage to care about enough to find, just to keep yourself from thinking about it too much.
I just wish I could get a copy of this comic, travel to the past, and show it to everyone who did not understand my depression(especially my therapist at the time).

Ratchet and Clank is getting a movie (x)
I was so excited this morning when I woke up and saw that article. I always thought that Ratchet would make for a great animated film. At first I was a little worried seeing that a no-name studio was making it. But then I continued reading and saw that long-time Ratchet writer, TJ Fixman, is writing the script and that Insomniac Games is really involved with the production. The movie won’t be out until 2015, but here’s hoping it’s great!

After going through my old songs, I went about finding some of the songs I made when I was still learning the basics of FL Loops.
I found some loops that dated back to 2009.
In the meantime, I have been taking a long time completing another piece so I’ve been spending many hours every day this week to finish it before I have to go back to school.
During my break from that larger composition, I messed around in FL Studio and thought it would be pretty fun putting all the aged loops in a single piece. Then this was the outcome.
It is hardly polished except for adding some reverb but I didn’t want to spend so much time on it that I completely stray from the other thing.
I’m not sure if it’s complete. I am pretty content with how it is now though.

Since I’m on my Spring Break, I thought it would be a great time to finish a bunch of music bits I started during college for the Julian Blain Files multimedia story
Upon choosing a piece to finish, I accidentally opened an old song.
And like all considered “recent” songs I have uploaded on the internet or sent to friends, this one was made in 2011 so I tweaked it a tiny bit, not so much since I didn’t want to add new parts to it.
(Hoping that Tumblr will let me upload multiple songs on the same day because this song is old as heck)
